I think I’m going take a 4 or 5 mile walk today to Naples Island here in Long Beach as my morning work out.  I just weighed in at 245…that’s cool.

Weight Loss Success – Day 8

The Lazy Man’s Workout

I’m working out with an old friend at 8:30 in the morning today at 24 Hour Fitness in Buena Park.  I usually work out at 5:30 or 6 am.  He told me it was going to be a lite workout….I wonder what lite means to him?

The Light Workout…Oh Sure

We did upper body today…I think it was about 8 to 10 sets per body part…and this was suppose to be light for him….oh my gosh…it took an hour to complete.  Then, I joined him for 45 minutes of cardio on Precor.  I made it through the cardio.

And took a rest later in the day to recover….I must be getting old.  I’m looking forward to my weight loss success to continue.

Today’s weigh in was at 246.

Weight Loss Success – Day 6

The Dance of Joy for Weight Loss Success

Weigh in today: 245.5….I lost a 1/2 pound…should I do the dance of joy now? 

1/2 of Syntha-6 protein plus a vita C packet, calicum, L-tryosine as a pre-workout quick meal.

Workout: upper body today using a 8×8 series.  8 sets of 8 reps per exercise with little rest in between sents.  I did two exercies for chest and back which is 16 sets for each of them.  Then I did 8×8 for shoulder press.

I ate four meals today.

Weight Loss Success – Day 5

Oh gosh, I’m awake this morning….how early wake up…it be crazy here in Long Beach today.  Time to weigh in…did I lose or gain after yesterday’s massive calorie day…246.  Stayed the same.  That makes me feel better.

Fitness Jay to Gym…not to today…everyone needs a little rest.

Later in the day update:  I walked 1 hour and 25 minutes today…that was exhausting.  My total calories for the day…1,455….that may be a little too low.  Oh well, I feel good.

Weight Loss Success – Day 4

This morning I started with 1 scoop of Syntha-6 protein and an EmergenC packet.  I need all of the Vitamin C I can get in the morning before the gym.

Off to the Gym Fitness Jay Goes

Off to the gym for Back and Shoulders today.  I did two giant cylces of 30 reps per exercise and used drop sets to make the workout fun.  My calories were a little high today at 3400…it must have been too much food…did I lose or gain weight…today, I weighed in at 246…let’s see what happens on Tuesday.

This morning I started with 1 scoop of Syntha-6 protein and an EmergenC packet along with an Isagenix Accelerator capsule.

Gym Workout

I did 30 reps of three sets of Front Pull downs, cable rows, bench press and should press along with bicep curls.

I was able to get that done in 35 minutes.

Meals:

7 today

  • Protein: 205
  • Carbs: 231
  • Fat: 46
  • Calories 2076

Walked for two hours today.

Weight Loss Success: Day 2

Weigh in this morning at 247.

Pre-Workout meal for Weight Loss Success

Water…24 ounces…no calories there!!!

I had 1 Isagenix Natural Accelerator capsule, 2 Arbonne Figure 8 tablets and 2 L-Taurine caps.

Cardio for Weight Loss

Then, I went to the gym…yikes.  I need to develop some local cardio sessions here at the beach instead of running to the gym for a quick cardio session.

Today is a split day…kind of a whole day but the workout is split in two sessions.  This morning I did a form of cardio called HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training).  30 seconds in a sprint and then 30 seconds in a jog on the Precor efx machine with an elevation of 9 and a resistance of 9 on the jog and 12 on the sprint.  Cardio lasted 10 minutes and my heart rate was 130 at the end.

Session two today will be abs and pushups with a new product called “Perfect Pushups”.  I have used it in the past and it is a lot harder than a normal pushup.

Post Workout Meal

My first meal today was 1.5 cups of Eggoloy (egg whites), 1 egg, 3/4 cup of organic pinto/kidney beans and some peas.  Seasoned with a little of Ken’s Ceasar Salad dressing lite used during the cooking….it tastes great.

Weight Loss Success Day 1: Starting

Today, I was back at the gym after taking about two weeks off.  I will be weighing myself on Friday and measuring to track my progress.  Since I have not been to the gym in a few weeks, I decided to take it easy.

Pre-Workout Meal

My pre-workout meal was 1/4 scoop of Jay Robb Protein, Syntha-6 Protein and one packet of Emer’ngy Vitamin C.  I took one Isagenix Natual Accelerator capsule and one tablet of Arbonne’s Figure 8 Going, Going Gone product.  I have several bottles of the Arbonne product so I’m using them up.

Gym Workout

I worked on my back and biceps today.  A quick workout…just 12 minutes.

I started with Front Pull Downs.  I did one warm up set and then I started at 120 pounds.  I did a set of 6 reps, then lowered the weight one plate at a time to to 110 and so on down to 50 pounds (Drop Sets).  Then, I moved to Low Row and did the same drop set.  Then on to bicep curls.  I choose Preacher Curls which is on an incline bench for my arms. I started with 80 pounds for 6 reps, then went to 70 pounds, 60 ounds, 45 pounds….on two series of drop sets.

Then, done.

Now the hard part begins….yep, the next 23 hours of working, eating and sleeping….eat clean.
